dead men tell no tales

So I was prompted to draw an underwater pic and Mer!Conan was supposed to be there with Pirate!Kid but... ya know, I didn't feel like drawing Conan there, so have Kid on the brink of death instead~ :'D

Actually I had a little story idea going for this:

Kid is a pirate that is searching for Pandora, a treasure in the sea that is rumored to heal all kinds of injuries (which is in someways grant immortality). His parents are suffering from an incurable disease and so after hearing about this treasure, Kid sets out to find it (spends years trying to find it). There is competition in finding this treasure, and so caught in the midst of slaughter among some other pirates, he is stabbed in the chest and drowned in the ocean. When Kid comes to, he's on a beach, severely injured, not dead but barely breathing. Conan is tending to his wounds with some kind of medicine since he was the one who saved him. Kid finds out that Conan is actually a merperson, one of the few that still exists, and he freaks out about it (huge fish tail fear~). But later, they become friends, possibly becoming lovers until Kid finds out that Pandora is actually a mermaid/merman's heart, and in order to have Pandora to heal his parents, he'll have to kill Conan. The end. (⊙ω⊙✿)
